Lunch Program, Pizza and Coupon Books

Written by

Lunches
We need to have at least 50 children enrolled in the Lunch Program to keep it at the current cost. If we do not receive more enrollments (we need another 22 children to be enrolled) the cost will be increased to $1 per day per child. Please let us know immediately if you wish to enroll your child by calling the school office at 845 634 0951.

Lunch pickup
Are there any parents available to bring the lunches to school on Mon - Thurs? The lunches would need to be picked up between 10:50am and 10:55am from the caterer in Monsey in order to have them in school in time for the lunch period. This will help alleviate the extra delivery charge until we receive enough lunch enrollments. Please call the school office at 845 634 0951 if you can help.

Pizza
All pizza orders and payment must be submitted to the school office by Wednesday, October 6, 2010, the latest in order for your child to receive his/her order this Friday.

Kidstuff & More coupon books
Please send in all orders and payment. All unpurchased books must be returned to the school office as each book is coded and must be accounted for when our order is placed. Payments or returns must be returned to the school office by Friday, October 15, 2010.

Shabbat Party Survey

Written by

Dear Parents,

The first Friday of the school year will be on October 8th, 2010. We hold a Shabbat Party every Friday where one child is the Shabbat Ima and another the Shabbat Abba. The Shabbat Party is held shortly before dismissal. The Shabbat party is held at 12:55pm. with dismissal directly after at 1:15 pm. The children enjoy the healthy treats in addition to singing Shabbat songs with Mr. Guitar, who would not dare miss this weekly treat with the adorable children!

As we are constantly improving we are considering changing the format of our Shabbat Party and inviting parents to join in but we would like to know what you think. Please fill out the survey by visiting http://www.surveymonkey.com/s/63CMQC9.

Tzitzit Policy

Written by

Dear Parents,

Tzitzit is a privilege and responsibility for every Jewish boy to wear with pride. Rabbi Kotlarsky spoke with the boys today about the importance of wearing tzitzit and informed them of their responsibility to make sure they are wearing tzitzit to school every day. They were also informed of our new school policy as outlined below. Beginning Monday boys in Kindergarten through 8th Grade must come to school wearing tzitit and wear them throughout the day.

If, for whatever reason, a student does not have tzitzit, he will be directed to the office and will purchase a pair of new tzitzit for $8.00. The school will not lend out tzitzit.

The student must bring in the $8.00 the next day in order to be re-admitted to class. It is our sincere hope that we will never need to open our box of ‘spare’ tzitzit.

We appreciate your co-operation and partnership in educating your child/ren in the way of Torah and Mitzvot.

With wishes for a Ketiva V’chatima Tova- Shana Tova Umetuka!

Mrs. Perline Mrs. Vaspol
Director of Judaic Studies Director of Secular Studies

P.S. It is suggested that each boy has three pairs of tzitzit: one to wear and two spares.
