The Hebrew Academy will be having a Chanukah toy drive from now until Chanukah. The Toys that you donate will be given to the chidren at the local area hospitals.When you donate a toy, you will be given raffle ticket that you can enter to win a $50 gifu card from Toys'R'Us. The toys cannot be opened or wrapped. PLease drop the toys off outside the front office.

Dear Parents,
The PTA would like to expand the Friday Pizza Lunch. In order to help us do so, we would like to get an idea of the types of lunch foods the children would be interested in.
All meals would be served with a vegetable side or salad, juice or bottled water for meat meals, juice or milk for dairy meals.
All lunch orders must be pre-ordered and pre-paid.
We hope to keep all meals under $3. To limit cost, this program would be parent-volunteer run. We need volunteers on a rotating basis to help with preparation and serving. Once a week, once a month or even once a semester - any time that you can give us is valued. Please indicate the days you would be available.

Optional Parent Teacher Conferences this Wednesday
Written by The Hebrew AcademyOptional Parent Teacher Conferences will be held on Wednesday evening, November 18, 2009, from 6:30 pm. Appointments will only be arranged on request by either the teacher or the parent. Conferences can either be in person or by phone and are for 10 minutes from 6:30 pm - 8:30 pm. Should you wish to meet with a particular child’s teacher, please call either Mrs. Perline or Mrs. Vaspol by 12 noon,Tuesday, November 17, 2009 at 845 634 0951. Please state 3 choices of 10 minute slots and which teachers you would like to talk to. We will then be able to enter your request into the conference schedule.
The Hebrew Academy parents are the best embassadors for our school. You know the benefits of sending your child to The Hebrew Academy. You are in the best position to publicize our school to your friends, clients, acquaintances. Please do your best to let as many people know about our school. If you have friends in areas of New Jersey such as Fairlawn, Teaneck, Bergenfeld, New Milford, Engelwood, (only about 1/2 hour bus ride away) let them know about us as well. We will be providing bus transportation for students from these areas in the upcoming school year 2010-2011.
We will be holding an Open House on Tuesday evening, November 24, 2009, from 8:00 - 9:30 pm.
Help our school become even better than it is already! Your child stands to benefit the most!
What a great turnout we had at the PTA Dinner Extravaganza last night, Sunday evening, November 8, 2009! The mood was warm, positive and friendly and many parents had the opportunity to mix and mingle and get to meet each other for the first time. The food from Wok 'N' Take Out was delicious! Most of The Hebrew Academy families attended this event organized by the tireless PTA Presidents, Mrs. Debbie Shatkin and Mrs. Chav Landau. Families also had the opportunity to meet many teachers who attended. We wish to thank those families who made the effort to attend this school function and make it the success it was.
