Dear Parents, We are looking for jungle animals of ALL sizes that we can borrow for our "Purim In The Jungle" Purim feast. We would like to decorate with them, hang them from the cieling, stand them up, etc. We are also looking for foliage - trees, leaves, etc. If you have any of these things and would like to bring them in for us to borrow for the holiday, please contact Diane in the office. Dear Parents, There will be NO BUS TRANSPORTATION for ALL students from tomorrow, Monday, December 23, 2013, through Tuesday, December 31, 2013. There will be NO SCHOOL on Wednesday, January 1, 2014. Being that there are no buses for the next week and a half we would like to remind you that: 7th and 8th grades begin school with Shacharis no later than 7:45am. Kindergarten through 6th grade begin school no later than 8:45am. Dismissal for Kindergarten - 4th grade: 4:30pm. Dismissal for 5th - 8th grade: 5:00pm. FRIDAY Dismissal for Kindergarten - 8th grade: 1:30pm. Please be punctual.

That's where you, Dear Parents, come in! We have, among our Toddler class, parents working in various fields such as: Chefs, social workers, teachers and others. Would you be willing to come in for a short time to visit the class and explain/show/discuss with the children your profession and what you do? Dear Parents, Would you like to help your child and his/her class at the same time? Here's your opportunity! We are in need of Class Parents. Thank you to Mrs. Silverman and Mrs. Storch of the Kindergarten and PreK classes respectively for volunteering to be Class Parents. What's involved? Class Parent Responsibilities: Each class has at least one class parent. The class parent serves as a liaison between the classroom teachers and the parents. The responsibilities include: Assisting your grade-level teacher. This may include volunteering for or finding volunteers for field trips, planning and arranging school social events (i.e. year-end picnic, etc.) Supporting school events, such as the Purim Baskets, etc. by volunteering or finding volunteers from your class. Dear Parents: Your son will be taking the ReadiStep 8th Grade/High School Placement Exam on Tuesday, October 22, 2013. This exam encompasses Language Arts and math. The Judaic Studies Exam will be held on Sunday, November 24, 2013 at a designated location which will be announced at a later date. You will be informed of this information as soon as we have been notified. There is a $15.00 fee which covers materials and scores. Please make the check payable to The Hebrew Academy and submit to the office by Thursday, October 18th. Our school is invoiced for these exams.
