Dear Parents,

We would like to invite your child to partake in The Hebrew Academy choir performance when they perform Maoz Tzur at the Grand Menorah Lighting ceremony this Wednesday evening, December 17, 2014, at 5:00 pm sharp. It will take place outside the Rockland County Office Building, 11 New Hempstead Road, New City. The weather that day is predicted to be unseasonably warm for this time of year at approximately 45-49 degrees.

For those children with parental permission, we will transport them to the County Office Building from school. Those children will not go home on the bus that day. Parents are invited to attend the program after which all will be provided with refreshments. The program will begin at 5:00 pm and end at approximately 5:10 pm or 5:15 pm. Parents of choir members must be there at the conclusion (approximately 5:10 pm or 5:15 pm) to pick up their child.

With Chanukah approaching, we would like to encourage you to be givers too. We are collecting toys for children in need. Please send toys to the school office in their original packaging.

The Toy Drive begins tomorrow, Thursday, November 21, 2013.

Dear Parents,

If your child is in the choir please make sure they come to the Chanukah Fair tonight in a black top and black or navy (preferably black) kneelength skirts for the girls and pants for the boys. The choir will perform at approximately 8:15 pm.

I loved the· Chanukah Fair. There was cotton candy, lollipops,· soda, snacks and amazing booths. I am not sure what other people did but for my class we did a puppet show. I was the one giving out tickets if people were being good during the puppet show. I got cotton candy for one dollar. It was so,so, good. I wish next year it will be as good as this time. The puppet show was not so good because the music was way too loud. I wish it to be better next year. I hope you will love the Chanukah Fair, but you will!! Please give a good thank to Mrs. Garbar because it was all because of her and our 3rd grade.
