Due to the fact that there are many days that there will be no school because of the Jewish High Holidays, the lunch program will go into effect as of October 4, 2010.

Looking forward to seeing you all in the new school year!

In order to prevent any difficulties with Shavuot dairy meal planning, lunch on Erev Shavuot, Tuesday May 18th, will be dairy. The meat meal for the week will be served on Monday, May 17th instead. Please make note of the change.

Thank you to Dr. Chana Haymov and Mr. David Kornblum for volunteering their valuable time to serve lunch again this month! We need more parents to be involved and lend a hand! Call the school office to sign up for a day or two. Any assistance you can provide is a tremendous help.

The school lunch trial was a tremendous success! We hope the children enjoyed their hot lunches. Please take the time to review the lunch questionnaire that was sent home yesterday with your child/ren. Your input will help us to plan a menu for the month of February when the lunch program resumes after winter break. Parent volunteers are needed to serve lunch Monday through Thursday from 11:20 AM - 12:45 PM. Please contact the office at 845-634-0951 to schedule a day next month to assist with the lunch program. Once a week...once a month....any help you can offer makes a tremendous difference!

Parents are needed to help serve lunch for our lunch program this Thursday, January 7, 2010, from 11:20 am - 1 pm. If you can help, please contact the office at 845-634-0951.

Thank you.

Dear Parents,

Regrettably, the 50 student enrollment quota was not reached for our catered lunch program. In an effort to preserve the program, the PTA has re-negotiated with our caterer to provide lunches for our 38 enrolled students. However, as a result of the smaller number of students, there be a slight price increase of $1 per student per week. Please send in $2 per child to the school office by Monday.

We are hopeful that this program will be successful and look forward to your (and your children's) comments.

At the completion of the 2 week trial, we will be sending out a survey, lunch menu and collecting re-enrollment forms.

The lunch trial will begin tomorrow, Monday, January 4, 2010.

Dear Parents,

The PTA would like to expand the Friday Pizza Lunch. In order to help us do so, we would like to get an idea of the types of lunch foods the children would be interested in.

All meals would be served with a vegetable side or salad, juice or bottled water for meat meals, juice or milk for dairy meals.

All lunch orders must be pre-ordered and pre-paid.

We hope to keep all meals under $3. To limit cost, this program would be parent-volunteer run. We need volunteers on a rotating basis to help with preparation and serving. Once a week, once a month or even once a semester - any time that you can give us is valued. Please indicate the days you would be available.

Please download the form (by clicking here) and return this form to school as soon as possible.

Thank you,

Mrs. Debbie Shatkin and Mrs. Chav Landau
PTA Presidents
