Lag B'Omer BBQ and Family Fun Day

Please join us for a great day filled with fun and food on Sunday, May 18th 5-8pm at the Chabad JCC - 315 N. Main St. New City. Open to all, regardless of affiliation, and free of charge, the event will include a Bonfire, Moon Bounce and Rides, Free Cotton Candy, Face painting, Pony Rides, Games and Live music. BBQ Hotdogs, Hamburgers and Drinks available for a nominal fee. Camp site tours will also be available. Register your child at this event for a $75 discount. The Science Fair is Here!!!!

Dear Parents: We are so excited about The Hebrew Academy's Annual Science Fair which is being conducted on Tuesday, May 6th. By participating in this fair, the students have had a wonderful opportunity to explore the fascinating world of scientific investigation as well as enhance their research, writing, thinking, listening and speaking skills. In preparation for this fair, the students in grades 3 through 8 are responsible for completing a research report and creating a Tri-board which will be displayed at the fair. The children must also be prepared to talk about their scientific findings to a panel of judges. Students in grades Kindergarten and 1st have been working on a classroom project with their teachers. They have been working real hard and are doing very exciting experiments. On Tuesday, May 6th, the students will bring their projects to school and will be given an opportunity to set them up…

Math Night Reminder

Dear Paretns, Tuesday is fast approaching. An exciting activity is planned - Math Night!! Mark your calendars for Tuesday, March 25th. Math Night will begin at 7pm in the Shul. There will be games galore to play, a special performance by The Hebrew Academy Choir, and refreshments will be sold. Students who attend Math Night will be exempt from doing their homework!

Mishloach Manot and postcard

Dear Parents, URGENT: If your Mishloach Manot contained Pennysticks Brand Stick Pretzels please be aware that it was inadvertently purchased and is not pas Yisroel. We wish to thank the PTA Presidents, Mesdames Fish and Feig, for all their hard work and dedication creating the amazing Purim Mishloach Manot. We thank them and the volunteer parents for spending much time packing them. We are creating a postcard to advertise our school. A photographer will be coming to The Hebrew Academy on Tuesday, March 18, 2014, and Wednesday, March 19, 2014, to photograph some of the children for the postcard. Should you wish your child/ren not to be on the postcard please contact the office by Monday, March 17, 2014 or contact Diane at (845) 634-0951 Please make sure your child is wearing clean clothes and in accord with the dress code.
