Dear Parents, Due to the forecasted inclement weather, The Hebrew Academy will be closed tomorrow, Friday, January3, 2014. Shabbat Shalom!
SCHOOL CLOSINGS OR DELAYS DUE TO INCLEMENT WEATHER Dear Parents, Please contact the following for information on whether school will be open, closed or delayed. This applies for all grades: Toddler through 8th Grade. If there is a 2 hour delay all classes, from Toddler through 8th Grade, will begin at 10:45 am. All students from Grades 4 – 8 should daven at home. Our decision to open, delay or close the school is based primarily on what the East Ramapo School Districtdecides. If this district is closed or delayed, The Hebrew Academy follows the same. Chanukah Choir and Fair Update

The school choir will be performing for Chanukah at: Friedwald Home for the Elderly on Tuesday morning, December 3, 2013 Sunrise Assisted Living on Wednesday morning, December 4, 2013 Chanukah Fair on Thursday morning, December 5, 2013 at 10:25 am. Chanukah Fair: The Chanukah Fair will be held during school hours on Thursday, December 5, 2013 from 10:40 am - 11:40 am. No charge. Parents, families and friends are invited to attend. Please RSVP if you or other family members will be attending so that we can order extra donuts for our guests.

Chanukah break and TOYS!

Dear Parents, Chanukah/Thanksgiving Break: School will be closed for Chanukah/Thanksgiving break from Thursday, November 28, 2013 - Monday, December 2, 2013, inclusive. School will resume on Tuesday, December 3, 2013, as usual. The school choir will be performing at several homes for the elderly on Tuesday and Wednesday, Dec. 3 and 4, 2013. Toy Drive Our Toys are piling up! Please keep sending in toys in their original boxes for Chanukah Gifts for children not as fortunate as ours!

Picture Day 2013

Dear Parents: Picture Day is coming to The Hebrew Academy! Mark your calendars. This year we have secured the services of Marty Hyman Photography. Picture Day will take place on Monday, October 21st. For these photos, the students in Kindergarten through 8th grade are to be dressed appropriately. Please make sure that your child comes to school wearing a clean white uniform shirt and a navy blue skirt for the girls and navy blue pants for the boys. This company does not use a pre-pay system. You will be receiving proofs. There is no obligation to purchase any photos unless you are satisfied with them. You have choices of class, individual portraits and/or sibling photos. Shabbaton for 8th Grade

Dear Parents, We are happy to inform you that the 8th Grade will be having a Shabbaton next Shabbat, December 16-17, 2011, at the home of Mrs. Perline, 80 Wilder Road, Wesley Hills. The Shabbaton will begin on Friday directly after school and end on Motzei Shabbat. The girls will go home with Mrs. Perline. An exciting fun Shabbat is being organized and lots of good food too! Please make sure your daughter brings everything she needs to school on Friday morning, December 16. Pick up will be after Shabbat, December 17, time to be advised.
